Video: Sprinkler vs Suarez
Posted on 03. Oct, 2011 by Liam Tomkins in Media
Liverpool’s Luis Suarez is infamous for his fiery temperament, but the Uruguayan took it to a whole new level prior to Saturday’s Merseyside derby when he clashed with a sprinkler in the pre-match warm-up.
The prolific number 7 was lining up a shot before the groundsman decided to give the pitch a watering shortly before kick-off. After a quick scare, he was distraught to find that Charlie Adam had moved the ball before he’d had a chance to strike it. This double blow was enough to make Suarez smash the ball into the crowd before heading back down the tunnel.
Let that be a lesson to you all – never deny Luis Suarez a scoring opportunity – even pre-match!

Wow! If that makes him tick, the sprinkler should always come on before he kicks the ball and one of his team-mates should always nick his ball thereafter during pre-match sessions. *must applaud the groundsman and Charlie’s got guts*
That’ll probably guarantee us one Luis Suarez goal per game. Ha!

As much as I admire how his fiery personality boosts his work ethic and passion, I really don’t like seeing this.

I tend to agree…passion and a lack of control on your emotions are distinctly two different things altogether! One is fundamentally needed on the pitch whilst the other spells disaster.

Not always fun too see players act that way, but again, how many yellow and red cards has have suarez got since he join lfc? 4 yellow cards in 20 matches.. not a singel red card since he joined.. Cant really complain about that.. Still.. Got guts to get mad when charlie is the one who takes the ball…
