that first time hit from big andy was superb and have to say world class…for him to run on to that ball and hit it of the bounce…hopfully give him the much needed confidence…in the end a great game of goals from a shacky start but you cant take away that strike from the oldham lad gosh what a great turn and strike

Not entirely sure you can say ‘monkey off his back’ anymore.

That is a £4 fine and 8 comment ban.

      Probably.

I will take my ban with the dignity of somebody who knows he has done no wrong. I apologise to anyone who may of taken offence at my comments.

i feel so sorry for kenny and the whole club and the commited supporters who go to the games for a atmospheric environment only to be let down by childish and what can only be described as scum of the earth! with chants directed at a oldham player from a small minority in the kop end…….this is not what we call support from a club in the dumps in the medias eyes at the moment

Liverpool fans racially abusing opposition players.

The damage has been done, congratulations Kenny.

    Witnesses reported seeing two fans

*** wearing Luis Suárez T-shirts – similar to those worn by Liverpool players at Wigan last month***,

after the Uruguayan was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra – confronting Adeyemi. A witness who gave evidence to Liverpool officials and the police said: “I was to the right of the Kop and the No11 turned to walk away after a tackle. I heard a single voice shout, ‘You f-ing black bastard.’ He spun round with shock on his face and started pointing at the crowd, from where the shout had come.”

Looks like you need to find a more credible source. Merseyside Police have confirmed no arrests have been made regarding racial abuse and all fan statements from people at the game, including a bbc reporter, have said it was you manc bastard. Sounds like you got your story from the Daily Mirror.

Some stupid fans who can’t shut the fuck up are going to ruin this season for everyone….

Funny how a player gets upset about something and everybody assumes its racism. There are lots of ways to hurt somebody’s feelings especially when its an emotional night. Bet LFC get some kind of charge though. Everton fans pelt our players with objects; nothing. Fulham fans single Suarez out for abuse from minute 1 and at end of game eventually he retaliates by flipping bird; Suarez punished. One Liverpool fan gives one Oldham player abuse once Oldham player kicks off at entire Kop and gets upset holding game up for ages (call me a cynic but something his team was trying to do at the time); Liverpool will get punished.

WTF, how stupid is all this getting. It’s my thoughts that racism is a personal choice not a collective ideology, or at least I hope so. How can the gutter press label a whole community as racist, it makes no sense but I suppose if the uneducated masses continue to think that the press or other media within the UK will report the truth, then we as a nation are becoming as blinded as the Americans……
Ah well Armageddon to look forward to at the end of the year, maybe by then the press will have something else to help sell their recycling materials.
On a more productive topic great game, I for one panicked when Oldham got the first goal, and thought not more of the same but we pulled it out of the bag in style.
Jonjo had a great game and Carroll had a mean strike(maybe we should be sending in the low balls instead of trying to hit his head) but no one can deny the contribution of the one the only captain fantastic, Stevie G welcome back!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the highlights. Hopefully get to see the full match on LFC tv on Sunday (mid)night.

Liverpool supporters need to be on guard against the media right now and not give the club further bad press (even if wrongly deserved).

Seems like Bellars, Stevie G and Jonjo had great games. Shelvey is turning into a really good player.

Also good to see big Andy and Downing get a goal for their confidence.

We still need a few players though.

Oldham should’ve been at least 0-3 up by the time we equalised. Coates is amongst the slowest players i’ve ever seen.

As for the latest bout of racist abuse from LFC, can we not just admit it this time, rather than fabricating silly tales of a media and FA agenda?

  17. BlameTheFA

    07. Jan, 2012

Blame The FA for all this ….they have had this in for liverpool
Year after Year …now they have found one !! to Curse The Club
it means any away fans will start it again and again just to make liverpool fc BAD – something needs to be said and done
or liverpool could pay the price for Nothing it could end up having games played behind closed doors
also it was strange when there was tickets still to buy the next was 1hr after Tickets sold out …i wonder if they were utd fans that got them ..only takes 30mins from manchester to liverpool on the M62 …

“Kopalf” what are we supposed to be admitting too? That a 20 year old kid was upset by something one fan out of 40 odd thousand said to him? I was actually in the kop at the time and there was absolutely no “racist chanting” as some sources would have you believe. No doubt the fan hurt the lads feelings but as nobody has reported what was said then all these papers going on about racism are just guessing which when it comes to fight against racism is a terrible thing to do, remember the story of the boy who cried wolf? Run the risk of real racist attacks being taken less seriously in the future.

    • KopAlf

      07. Jan, 2012

The best friend of the boy involved has confirmed he was racially abused.

      Cheers.

      What’s happened to LFC?!?

    07. Jan, 2012

Well anfield rd dreamer, now you know. And how do you explain the increasing Suarez chants during the incident ?
    That was so embarassing, really.

    07. Jan, 2012

Well my aunties mates dads work colleagues wife walks the lads mums dog and I’ve heard different. Grow up. And we were singing the Suarez song on and off throughout the match as a sign of support to Suarez not as some form of racist attack against a random black footballer we didn’t even know existed before kick off that is an incredibly ignorant comment.

spearing had another good game, just gets on with his job.

    coates looked good.
    flano looked good.

shelvey played well, not my choice/kind of player, wud of liked to see suso given a run out.

fingers crossed, carroll, downing can show their true ability now that they have scored and carry this on till end of the season, goals breed confidence.
