Manchester United Resort to Diving in Order to Attempt Carling Cup Rescue

As extra-time slowly crept to an end on Wednesday night, the whole of Liverpool, London and the blue side of Manchester cheered as Crystal Palace held their lead. Fast running out of time and ideas, the home side resorted to desperate measures in order to try and salvage something from the game.
Somehow, though, I don’t think the referee was convinced by the Red Devils’ attempts.

Fergie will claim it was caused by cramp and that the player was manfully trying to play on – he was being brave, not a cheat.
And the press would lap it up, because apparently everything that ruddy faced b*stard says is true and right…
No manager can criticise other teams for diving – glass houses and all…
