Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has trained with the Liverpool squad after returning from his holidays, and is fit to face Sunderland at the weekend. Suarez helped Uruguay to Copa America glory earlier this summer and took a short break before returning to training this week.
The Premier League’s opening fixtures have been cast into doubt in the wake of recent nationwide riots, but with the trouble largely taking place down south Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland is not believed to be in danger of cancellation.
Suarez, then, could feature on the first day of the new season despite being absent for his club’s entire pre-season campaign. With Sunderland having strengthened significantly this summer, the Reds will be glad to have one of their star players available for selection as they look to make a strong start – something which they have failed to do in recent years.

Hope the game doesn’t get cancelled on Saturday. I’m pretty excited for about this season.
Yes Suarez in the starting 11 & we should get goals and probably 3 points. This should set us up well for the Arsenal match. If we can pull one over them that will be great. I hope we can still add a few more additions to the squad in defence and hopefully either a right sided winger of back up striker. We need to concentrate on finishing in the top four, especially with Arsenal and their fair share of problems, can see city being over consistant especially with Champions League there is definitely room for hope.

People need to stop putting Suarez on the wings he plays upfront or slightly on the left side of a front 2 or 3. Too many people have put him on the right wing with Downing on the left and Carroll upfront.
