Liverpool & Groningen Hold Texeira Talks

Liverpool have today flown representatives to Holland to hold talks with FC Groningen regarding the prospective transfer of David Texeira, according to widespread reports.
We brought you the news of Kenny Dalglish’s interest in the player this time last week, and the Reds have since sent a member of their scouting department to run the rule over the youngster further with a view to a move this month. The striker netted again for his club in the recent 2-1 win over Heracles, seemingly cementing the interest shown by Liverpool thus far.
Texeira may encounter difficulty obtaining a work permit for a move to the Premier League, so Liverpool will want to conclude negotiations sooner rather than later if they wish to tie up all the loose ends before deadline day.

Suppose David texeira gets a working permit in the UK and the Reds will bid for a substancial money, let say 8m.bp, FC Groningen will be facing this opportunity, let him go.

if work permits are soretd he could be sound buy with these overpaid/overrated english players in the squad.it might just make them sit up and take note.a lot of people are against the striker from rangers comin in.he can score goals like texeira above is foreign and would have a point to prove to our useless johnnies.suarez could be a good feeder for either of these strikers,y.n.w.a.

I hope he is ready for the Premier League, otherwise he is essentialy another striker only capable of being a back up. Joining the ranks of Carroll, Bellamy, and Kuyt. Admittedly, he would be a good investment for the future as Bellamy’s knees are failing, Kuyt looks completely off his game, and Carroll’s ceiling looks to be quite low. Still, I worry about the good players we have now that might leave if players are not brought in to support them. Suarez, Agger, and Reina might go if their ambitions are not supported.

we wont let him go that soon,we only have him for 6 monds…if the will waqnt him they must have a big bag with money…..oo thas not a problem,real yust offert 50 miljoen euros for suarez…he olso came from groningen…we got him from s.america.

so after nearly a month in another transfer window, when we have a so called transfer specialist to handle this matter, and fater months of time leading up to another windw and yet after suarez and lucus being out of theam for different reasons, – the best we can come up with is this??????????? staggering really, he may well be a great cracking young striker yes, but thats not the point here, as like most transfer window we either wait to long or we over spend or we buy either unrpoven players for over rated prices or we just buy squad players?
agger and skrtel now are seen as good buys as they have been brought in during the jan market when they came to the club. mascherano, alonso, torres and reina, enrique apart (the one more of the more recent buys – like suarez) what have we doen in the markets !!!!! –
if this is best are scouting department and comolli can do then we are in huge trouble,,,, and yet we are exoected to make top 4- dear me…..

i agree with some of your views,firstly we need aplayer who can bang in goals ,we need a midfielder who can give a decent pass to a striker in position.as for transfers no one envisaged we would be in this mess with suarez/strikers all below par/gerrard/ lucas injuries.i do beleive kenny will have to get real on formations & selection,adam stinks at the mo.shelvey must be abetter option.downing on bench as well &start maxi.adam has good assist record but he gives away stupid fouls every game in dangerous positions.until we grasp 4th no big names will come without paying huge money.camolli will be reluctant to spend big he is already on shaky ground i think.so fourth spot is a must.

i think this guy is a good option 8 goals in 13 appearences this season isnt to bad with a goal per game at 0.57.
lfc have i think it is the 3rd best service in the league with the best defence…with the service provided this guy could be the anwser for now and the future if he comes good and adapts well to the epl and along side AC and luis.
id rather have this guy than no one at all

leave andy carroll out and when suarez plays its him and defoe, the latest i have heard is that a bid of around 11.5 mill has gone in for defoe!!!! yes this is what i have been told, spurs have accepted the bid but redknapp wants remy first?

do’nt underestimate what texiera might add to Suares’ potential- vice versa- in the effort of making goals for Liverpool. I guess that is the main thougt behind thisse talks today.
