Debate: Goal of the Season 2010/11

The season may have not have had many talking points in terms of spectacular performances, but there were undoubtedly some great goals to discuss. So with that said, we have taken our top five goals from this season and asked you to vote for your favourite; which will you choose, though?
Raul Meireles surprises everybody with this wonder strike vs. Wolves.
Luis Suarez makes the impossible possible with this superb strike from a narrow angle vs. Sunderland.
Lucas shows the world exactly what he has in his locker with superb drive vs. Steau
Maxi Rodriguez complete his hattrick with a stunning strike vs. a hapless Fulham.
Luis Suarez makes a dizzying run through a host of defenders to set Dirk Kuyt up for his first of three vs. Manchester United.

I voted for Kuyt vs. ManU. Just great how Suarez dribbled around 4 defenders then nutmegged the keeper. He made them look ridiculous. Meireles was a cracker aswell.

I voted for Raul’s pearler of a volley.
I would have voted for Suarez mazey run had he scored himself rather than Diggler ultimately tapping it in.

Defo Meireles. Lucas got a great one too, shame he don’t score more often. I heard a brazalian friend of mine say ‘LFC broke Lucas’. That he used be a superb attacking midfielder, and now he’s too defensive. any thoughts?

Leo: every midfielder has his place in the team, its just that not every team can accomodate every player in their preferred position.Lucas is a very rare breed – known as a volante:

Hard to choose between meireles or kuyt(Suarez run) but I chose the man u one because I think that requires the most skill.

1st: Meireles vs Wolves
2nd: Lucas vs Steau Bucharest
3rd: Suarez vs Sunderland
That cracker scored by Meireles is just simply breathtaking, so no doubt that goal gets my vote. The stunner from Lucas was a close second… His was more of a test shot which happened to be at the right place and right time.

He also should’ve won our Player of the Year.
