Aquilani Wages Too High for Fiorentina

Alberto Aquilani’s wages are too high for Serie A suitors Fiorentina, according to the player’s agent. The Italian is currently partaking in pre-season training with Liverpool, but the club will remain open to offer while the transfer window is still open.

Many Liverpool fans are warming to the prospect of Aquilani staying at Anfield for the forthcoming season at least, but with the club already well stocked in central midfield they are unlikely to turn down offers in the region of £12m.

Fiorentina are believed to be one of the clubs willing to meet that valuation, although Aquilani’s agent believes his wages could price La Viola out of a deal.

“Anything can happen, never say never. We will wait and see if there is anything concrete.” Franco Zavaglia told Corriere Fiorentino.

“Alberto has a major contract with Liverpool, and Fiorentina operate with certain economic parameters.

“I don’t know whether the operation is feasible, but over time something (salary) can be skimmed (reduced).”

  1. Oskan says:

    Adam and Aquaman will fill the center of our midfield next season.

  2. Dave McQueen says:

    As if. No dynamism. Gerrard Henderson or Lucas wld def be in there as well.

    Reina
    Lb Carra new cb Johnson
    Downing Gerrard lucas Henderson
    Suarez Carroll

    Subs:
    Doni
    Skirtel
    Aurellio
    Joe cole
    Adam
    Miereles
    Kuyt

    • H.T.George10 says:

      Miereles was our 2nd best midfielder last season (lucas 1st) He played amazingly and when he hit form he was unstoppable. So why is everyone benching him? He should start ahead of Henderson.

      Reina
      LB Carra Agger (unless new one comes) Johnson
      Downing Lucas Miereles
      Gerrard
      Suarez Carrol

      Subs:
      Doni
      Skrtel
      Aurellio (if he doesnt break a hip sitting down)
      J Cole (if we dont sell him)
      Adam
      Henderson
      Kuyt

      I find a problem with Kuyt. He is a great player, hard working and when on form brilliant. I feel like he deserves a starting 11 spot but i dont know where to put him. He might start ahead of Carrol when playing a team with tall CBs, as then crossing would be useless so play short balls..
      Also sorry if I come over as a prick, that wasn’t my intention.

  3. commonsense says:

    to Dave McQueen….i think we’l start with
    henderson lucas adam
    downing
    suarez

    carroll
    only because gerrard will not be fully fit,with aqua maybe used,at first,as a sub….it would compensate for his lack of strength,allowing him to get a feel of the game&building his game& confidence…his movement&reading of the game added to the ability to pick a pass on the move would give us the same as adam but further up the pitch for the times a team puts up a wall in midfield to stop us….

  4. bunker says:

    has anyone considered that we’re signing a raft of midfielders because we’re unsure that Gerrard will be fully healthy this season (or ever again)?

  5. live4liverpool says:

    i dont like the way kenny is choosing players he got handerson and caroll those two are so over payed because they are english and we got luiz which was fantastic though his cheaper and proved his worth every peny we paid, i would rather buy adam with the 35m he could have scored more goals than caroll and his faster the same style of suarez and cazorla instead of handerson with mata instead of downing

    Mata ————suarez ———adamjohnson
    cazorla———-gerard—————–meireles

    enrique—–skrtel—–carrager——johnson

    best squad we would have neet passing and great possesion

  6. Sparko82 says:

    Aquailani has class it’s just when he was going to prove it and if it would be in prem? I think he could be an important player for us this season. People got to remember the situation he arrived at a new club and league ( hardest ) injured. Plus we need strength in squad so let’s keep him, he’ll be like a new signing.

  7. Dave McQueen says:

    No doubt aqua cld prove to be class – players such as Nasri initially found the prem to be too physical but soon learnt how to cope.

    The problems are at a little older and prone to the odd injury, will aqua learn to cope with the rigour

  8. Dave McQueen says:

    ….of the premiership.

    Secondly will we give him a chance and can we afford to wait?

    Only time will tell but I still see a transfer in the near future

  9. JC23 says:

    £104k a week we pay this clown.

  10. Lfc_4_lyf_UMAR says:

    IN KING KENNY WE TRUST!

  11. Jeb says:

    It’s not really about how he would come good or not, he simply is redundant. Just didn’t figure in the manager’s overall plan. He should bite the bullet and head back home. After all, that’s where he wanted to be all along.

  12. SAM CHARLES says:

    just get rid, all this crap now with this show pony, who lets be clear was croked when we brought him we stuck by him as fans and as a club, we then grant him his wish to go back to itay,,, hes so bad that even juve dont want him,,,, that tells the story does it not.

    Yet some fans even though he has not and never stated his desire to stay in liverpool seem to think we owe him something, he has one over these fans, and i just cant understand why, what beause of 2 – two bit games in pre season he passes the ball well, your telling me thats enough to keep him here, dont make me laugh!!! the guy is a fraud and a wet fart, the first time he gets a huge challenge on him you wait and see, he will go missing if he stays and we all know it.

    I hate this little prick and want him gone, his agent never shuts up,, we then here some clubs form italy are in for him, but then hold on the little prick wants high wages, what for he has neevr done anything of high note!!!

    And sahme on you for wanting raul out before a player who clearly just doesnt see being at liverpool as his best option,,, can you lot not see that aquilani is not loyal and is not fully committed,,, you want another torres on your hands do you, so you want a player that clearly just doesnt want to be here and sell a player that is part of the dressing room and a likeable and good player in raul… dont take the piss;

    GET OUT AQUIALNI AND TAKE YOUR OVER PAID WAGES AND YOUR SHITE AGENT WITH YOU,

    THEN SELL

    COLE, WILSON,SOTO,POULSEN, NGOG,EL ZHAR, BRAD JONES, DEGEN, JOVANOVIC,

    THEN BUY;

    CAZORLA,GODIN, ENRIQUE.

  13. sam charles says:

    get out of the club;

    joe cole – crap to old and injury concern waiting to happen.

    aquilani – never wanted to be here, talks of itay 100% of time, injury concern, hardly played in tough games and just because he can pass a ball – big deal – just get rid, show pony…

    soto – great guy but great guys dont win you things, to slow on the deck, not great with pace and just not good enough to be playing without carragher with him sell him.

    poulsen – just crap, pure crap one of the worse players ever to have been at the club!!! dear god, get him out NOW,,

    ngog – what a couple of goals in pr season means we should keep him, no thanks stop dreaming people, this kid has been given to many chnaces and for me just seems to not want it, average at best – sell him.

    degen & el zhar – pure crap just leave, thats that.

    jovanovic – nearly out the door, thank god, just leave asap!!!

    brad jones, average, should never have been signed, we have others and is not wanted, get rid please.. thats thats.

    tom ince – big time nobody like his two bit dad is, get him out, too over rated by a long long way,,,,

    loan deals;
    shelvey, wilson, ayala. pacheco

    bring in;

    cazorla, godin, enrique, banega.

    job done, if not turn the lights off….. we need to get better players in and thats is the cold hhard facts, dont tell me what we have done so far is going to make a huge difference ,,, wake up …. we still have work to do people… fans that know liverpool will agree deep down, its time to pay out for that better level of player ans that is the end of this subject.

    • 1ofthejuicys says:

      Sam Charles…… where are all your medals?????? slagging off professional Footballers……who all train and wear the jersey……..you a bar stool mug i bet????

  14. Dave McQueen says:

    Sam, I don’t think Paul Ince Is a 2 bit nobody. He was one of the best cm’s of his time, exceptional for England and a rare English success in Italy. His son looks good as well, although maybe not goOd enough

  15. sam charles says:

    you know what i mean about ince, to be fair whiloe at man utd, he was a good player, when he got to liverpool after inter he was ok but his legs had gone, he had a few good games but thats it! his son i have heard some very bad things from, in the academy,,, he has a very poor attitude, he is sometimes late to training and i have had it told and its common knowledge that he is very aggressive around the grounds with some other team mates, he is very up and own and is a negative force as person. he is very over rated,

    i missed inusa , he need sto go to and we still need 3 great top international proven players, i dont buy all this – they must be poriven in our league , just look at suarez and people who where telling us he was going to be average and that he had no prem games behined him!! look how good he is. for me i want 3 players still and they are;

    GODIN
    ALVARO PEREIRA
    SANTI CAZORLA OR MATA ( RATHER HAVE CAZORLA)

  16. sam says:

    why is he still here ? dear god, why cant we just rip up his contract! – poulsen,,,,,,,,, oh my god just take your gear and fcuk off….

    you to – cole, jovanovic, aquilani, jones, insua, el zhar,
    ngog, etc
    dear me just fuck off and let us buy better players,,,,, just fcuk off

    Fiorentina have lodged a £10m bid for Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani, @Football_Juice can reveal.

  18. Dave McQueen says:

    To be fair he has Medal of Honour on the playstation.

  19. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
