The agent of Liverpool midfielder Alberto has cooled talk of his client making an Anfield exit this summer, despite fervent speculation surrounding his future.
Aquilani, who enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Juventus last term, had hoped to secure a permanent move to Turin but the two clubs were unable to negotiate a deal and the player instead returned back to his parent club.
There has since been speculation that a number of other Serie A clubs, including Fiorentina, have been monitoring the Italian’s situation with a view to making a move. But Aquilani’s agent insists the player is content with life at Liverpool and has all the attributes to be a success in the English top flight.
“Alberto overcame his ankle problem, coming back into the national team and he has the characteristics to do good things in the Premier League too,” Franco Zavaglia told Radio Mana Mana.
“He is at a summer camp training with Liverpool, playing positively in all games of their summer tour.”
Although this is hardly a definitive statement from Zavaglia, all signs continue to point to an Anfield stay for Aquilani. And although the club are currently well stocked in this position, there are unlikely to be too many complaints if the club were to retain such a quality player.

I think aquilani will be at Liverpool this season, I think he should be given a chance with a full season in the epl and if he trains and takes his chances well enough then he’ll play a lot. I would say if a good offer comes in though from a foreign club then give him his wish to leave so more money to buy players will be available. Definately don’t sell him to a epl club, could come back to haunt us.

No one has said Suarez won’t be available until the end of august. What they have said is they will assess him when he comes back. He will have 3 week break, I think he will be ready for the start of the season.
Also with aquilani, the reason why his agent has said he wants to leave is because he didn’t get a proper opportunity last season and was loaned out. I think as long as he gets an opportunity to play this season and show what he is capable of in the epl, then he will be happy to stay. He did after all want to come here in the first place. He justs wants to play.

After the recent ‘dispatches’ programme that exposed improper conduct by some clubs i think we should stop loaning players out, at least then we cant be accused of doing people ‘favours’. If a player isnt wanted just sell him, no messing about with loans.
